So much pie... (Must see Prisoner of Asbuttan)11 October 2004 - 4:46 p.m. Wow, didn't realise it had been so long.. Thanksgiving has come and gone. Though I missed being home with good-smelling food, Nat came down to visit and we had a fun time. Slightly embarrassing at times, but what are sisters for? Friday went on a mad used CD shopping spree. Nat came. Saturday we went to all the natural stores on Bloor and the women's bookstore and women's sex store (!) on Harbord. Went out for veggie food in Chinatown and watched School of Rock. Sunday was the visit to the Grandma. Lots of food (have brought back kielbasa, pierogies, cabbage rolls and rye bread) and lots of looking through her hideous polyester clothing from the 70's. Good Halloween costumes found, though! Then Mike dropped by and we watched Father Ted and played with magnetic poetry. Thanks, Sun! Today was woken up by James, who got home at noon (!). He had caught the train at 7am... We three had lunch and then Nat left, and now I must go do work. The book "Nothing Feels Good", which is about emo and punk music, is fantastic and very addictive and makes me wish I had a downloading programme to get music. And I also have a newspaper from France and a copy of the international edition of the Guardian to look at, both presents from Geneva. "Special friend" ?! |
