"I'm wrong to want more than a folk song..."

29 September 2004 - 2:20 a.m.

A day of ups and downs, as I like to call it.

It began well enough, with two hours of Bartlett slides of Florence. I must go there now. It's on the list. (After Amsterdam, France and Belgium)

Then it was an archaeology tutorial of learning to draw pottery sherds. Fun times! Much better than "discussing". I may volunteer to work for a professor in a lab. We'll see. It requires getting up for 10 am on Friday.

Then the TPL wouldn't let me take out books because I had no proof of address... even though they let me last time... Grr... so much time spent walking to College from Vic, then back to the hoose.

Well, that just pissed me off, more so than it should have. Then I had to clean strange brown liquid off the kitchen counter...

His of Medicine tutorial was deathly boring and I was very huungry and I quite noticeably couldn't keep my eyes open during the last half hour of the lecture. Which is bad when you sit in the second row of Vic 323.

The albums that are getting me through the week:
All Sloan (mostly Action Pact and Twice Removed)(mp3 CD's rule!)
Modest Mouse - Good News for People Who Love Bad News (Float On is still tops on the iTunes top 25)
Metric - Old World Underground, Where Are You Now (v. enjoyable to sing to... ie, not male. Even I can't hit Chris and Jay's notes)
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism (Absolutely fabulous - I can't stop listening to it. Perfect for 2 am)
K-Os - Joyful Rebellion (Eveyone needs to dance to this)
CBC Radio 3 - Sessions vol. 1 (Worth the 10$ for the first five songs alone)

Thursday we will try to go to the Mod Club, as I sadly skipped it last week. Friday is Franz(!) and Saturday we may be planning a drunken get-together, with NO BEER this time. Only hard liquor = good times. Let us know if you're free.
