Be alone if you want, if you know how to run....10 July 2004 - 4:38 p.m. Yeah, yeah, it's been awhile. Too bad!! The most exciting thing that has happened since the last entry was le trip à Montréal. I tried my best, so here goes: Thursday: Talking about travelling and music and school with the guy beside me - homemade oatmeal cookies - meeting James at Atwater - meetings at the train station - Sex and the City - Amoxil - les chats - sleeping with Soph in the parents room Friday: Pie (pah) - Tea - Fahrenheit 9/11 at the Forum/AMC - Morning Glory - exhausting shopping at the mall at Atwater - placenta - strawberry dacquiris at 3 Amigos - coming across a Marca Bavaria Fest, complete with tight white-panted dancers - Jazzfest, complete with the woman from Dee-lite, the hula hoop woman while perching on a precarious hill, and the hackey sack boys - the enslaved break-dancing kid - pointing out all the strip clubs James should go to - Jen's lost voice - the swings and playground - Harry Potter 1 Saturday: Pie - tea - Hits from the Blitz and a mail box savings bank from a garage sale - Real Bagel - Old Montreal, with its tourist shops, Ben and Jerry's and old port - postcards - a horse's... well... - posing like rock stars - being attacked by small children with water guns - Angela's Pizza - the unending cab ride to The Loft - watching Laura and Emi decide how to pick up some guy - drinking on the terrasse - dancing for hours to French rock (Cowboys Fringants-style, with the fiddles), The Darkness and Franz - the hat - Sophie and Andrea's sexy results - Goldshlager (spelling?) - Cat-calling James while getting poutine - attempted Sex and the City Sunday: Pie - Tea - Coronation Street - Meeting the puppy and the parents - Driven tour through Westmount, up Mont Royal, seeing Beaver Lake, and great views of the city, care of James' dad - walking around the Greek area - watching the first half of the EuroCup - escaping for A & W - Andrea's over-priced food store - the Greek pride in the shape of horns honking and flags flying - finding the metro - Italian food - Harry Potter 2 (only Saba and I managed to stay awake) Monday: Attempting to get all of the sick people up - so many crepes at Tutti-Frutti - catching the last bus possible to get to work on time (and getting there five minutes before it left) - and coming home and going to work as if it was a normal day. That's what I remember from the whirl-wind trip. And of course James telling me that he could probably FLY to Toronto in August for free, while I'm stuck spending 100 $ I don't have to take the bus. Daammmmnn. And much girl talk, happiness, B-Sophie's laughing, Jen's quirky nature, Andrea's domestic nature, Saba's embarassment at our not-so-slight hints and James' slight frustration at having five girls running things, as well as inexplainable exhaustion. "Beeaauuty..." Line that's been running through my head all day: "Oh God I love you, I mean forever, I left my body behind to break the news." |
