I'm genuinely worried someone will break into our hoose.26 December 2004 - 12:07 p.m. So, Xmas is finally over. It was dragggging on for a very long time. Damn divorced parents and their separate festivities... I'm here in D.C. at my dad's now. I think I have to be in a certain mood to visit my dad, and I'm definitely not in it. He mostly annoys the hell out of me. I won't go into any rants for the moment. What can you do. Right so Xmas was yesterday, I got some socks, of course. I got a beret (!) and some gloves. Curious George calendar. Hawksley Workman DVD. My sister got Father Ted on DVD!! It's AWESOME. So our holiday has been filled with irreverent Irish comedy. I also am watching Pride and Prejudice again. Oh, Mr. Darcy... Most importantly, and awesomely, Rose gave Nat and I those pre-paid VISA cards again... with a LARGE amount of American money on them. (More than last year! I'm boggled. Absolutely boggled.) So, now I have to decide what to spend it on. A digicam is very much within reach.. but it would take a large chunk of the money. Or I could just use it to go out, buy some clothes, shoes, etc. Nat's been making me feel guilty, seeing as I am a poor poor student, and I could use it to buy groceries or something else useful. I may have to talk it over with my ma. But digicam!! Oh man. I don't know what to do. The Canon SD200 is 379$ CDN at Future Shop and Best Buy, and 300$ US at Best Buy. OR maybe I should go for a cheaper one? I'll need to do research and see if the Powershot A75, 85, 95 etc have all the stuff I want. I live a ridiculous life. I also bought a shirt and a skirt at Old Navy the other day (Old Navy is DIRT CHEAP here in the States, plus they had lots of Xmas sales) and today we're going to the only other clothing store around here, American Eagle. Hopefully I'll pick up some good stuff! Hope y'all are well. I am going to reheat some Tofurky. And damn you all for never being online..? Everyone is supposed to be sitting at home bored, like Huda and myself. What's wrong with you people? |
