Don't you know it's alright to be alone?

15 April 2005 - 2:36 a.m.

So! Here's a recap of this exhausting week:

Thursday - Went to Tonic with Tia and Soph, it was skeezy, decided street meat was SO GOOD at the right time.

Friday - Quizno's, LCBO (Jewish wine and blackcurrant liqueur), cheap pizza and out to Dis-O (at a less skeezy club) for the UC end of year party, got free corkscrew. Got more street meat.

Saturday - Went to the Phoenix for some rockier music to celebrate the births of myself and other Soph. Good music.. too much Korn-like music though. I hate hipsters who don't dance. They are douches.

Sunday - Met. T.O zoo with my mom and aunt, then to aunt's house for dinner and cake. The day started off on a bad note, but was resolved at the end. Collapse of exhaustion. Received from Ottawa: Easter choco, GST cheque, tax refund (Money money money), Strongsad shirt from Nat.

Monday - Eaton Centre with mom, bought some summer shirts and cute black shoes.. for jobs, if I ever get one. Thai food with the roomies, Tanya and mom, then back to home for presents and cake. Received: Tea, cat poster, Yellow Submarine stationery, cake mix recipe book, Kasabian ticket for May, Cosmo subscription (hells yes), lovely CD with music clips from "the man who has had absolutely no effect on music".

Tuesday - Did absolutely nothing! ie, relaxed with Mike. Got won ton soup. I needed it. I'd been feeling crappy all week (damn pill..) and now have a cold.

Wednesday - Saw the Bravery (we were unimpressed with their hair and effort) and Ash (how did I now know the lead singer was so cute??) with a free ticket. Spontaneous nudity made the encore awesome. McDo fries are GOOD.

Thursday - Off the the grandma's! Huge dinner (turkey, perogies, cabbage, salad, coffee, tea, cake, Tia Maria) and much listening to her recount her life story for the umpteenth time. But got birthday money and TTC tickets. Dropped by Lee's to see the Daybreak at their CD release party, high-fived Shoe and gave Huda money to buy us CD's. Then off to the Phoenix for the Exclaim! tour. Saw a bit of the Organ, but we came for Stars. They were good, but played 12/14 songs from their latest and only 2 from Heart. Cancon sightings: Patrick from Sloan (AAAHH!) and Gentleman Reg. On stage: The usual BSS folks who show up to all these concerts. It's becoming so commonplace I don't feel like naming them all. Hell: Kevin, Andrew, Justin, James Shaw... Oooh, also got a ticket for the Get Up Kids farewell tour..

Which brings us to now. Hopefully studying will happen soon, since exams start next week. We're spoiled, with our week off in-between, I know. But we go until May! "U of T students do it harder"...

I enjoyed this quote from chromewaves:
"I was in Penguin Music yesterday after work and saw MuchMusic doing an interview segment with two of the guys from The Bravery. Whilst counting up the number of times the interviewer called them, their music and their videos "awesome", I thought about yelling, "Bravery suck! Killers rule!" but decided against it as the singer guy probably would have caught up with me and poked out an eye with his silly little mohawk."

It was silly. And the bassist had a small todger.
